Ward Go Green!

TAKE CONTROL OF THE ENVIRONMENT WITH WARD GO GREEN FLEET SOLUTIONS

Ward realizes the importance fleets have in reducing the impact to the environment including reducing greenhouse gases (GHG) and air pollution. That is why Ward has developed a comprehensive green fleet program to support your specific green initiatives.  Through Ward Go Green, fleets have the resources to manage their green fleet initiatives through advance reporting, improved driver behavior, and proactive maintenance scheduling.

Ward’s complete suite of products can be utilized by fleets to support corporate and governmental environmental initiatives.  Ward provides fleets with comprehensive data they need to optimize their fleets.  Ward also has a team of green fleet specialists who work closely with fleets to develop a customized solution that helps strengthen the vehicles’ environmental and operating performance.  Here are several ways fleets can keep going green through Ward Go Green:

Reduce Idling
Idling for more than 10 seconds uses more gas and emits more global warming pollution than restarting your vehicle.  Ward provides fleets with the resources to track and monitor vehicle idling thus minimizing your fleets idling.

Improve Vehicle Efficiency
Ward’s comprehensive solutions provide fleets with the operating condition and specific use of their fleet vehicles.  Ward Go Green solutions help lower operating costs, CO2 emissions, improve safety, utilization, and compliance.  Ward supports fleets proactive maintenance program by notifying you if or when a fleet vehicle needs or is scheduled for maintenance.

Driver Behavior
Improved driver behavior results in better fuel economy.  By employing technology that will monitor driver behavior, fleets can improve on fuel usage and decrease overall miles driven.  Ward has the technology to track driver behavior including measuring the impact of driver behavior on fuel economy.

Reduce GHG Emissions
Ward can help fleets better manage their GHG emission tracking through the Ward AFMS suite of Fuel View Software reports.  By measuring the carbon footprint of each fleet vehicle, fleets can analyze options to mitigate internal emissions reduction goals or offset GHG emissions.

Did You Know?

TOTAL GREENHOUSE GAS (GHG) EMISSIONS

This is the best measurement to access overall environmental impact. The data required to calculate total GHG is the volume of fuel consumed.

GREENHOUSE GASES PER VEHICLE

This is the average performance of a particular vehicle or the total vehicle fleet. Fuel source, miles traveled, and fuel economy are influencing factors. The data required includes total emissions and the number of fleet vehicles.

GREENHOUSE GASES PER TON OF FREIGHT MOVED

This cargo-based metric quantifies the efficiency of moving goods. By using tons rather than pallets, fleets ensure their metrics are consistent internally and externally. The minimum data required to calculate is total emissions and tons of freight moved.

GREENHOUSE GASES PER MILES TRAVELED

Miles traveled is a leading factor in determining vehicle emissions. This metric allows fleets to consider mileage as a metric including GHG per specific mileage quantity. The minimum data required to calculate is total emissions and total miles.
