Eddie Ward, CEO

Mr. Ward founded E.J. Ward, Inc. in 1974 as the first automated fuel management company and since then has been instrumental in leading Ward to become the leading fleet fuel management company in North America. After graduating from Texas A & M University, Mr. Ward joined the United States Air Force as a pilot. Before founding Ward, he worked for Johnson Controls in San Antonio and then as branch manager in El Paso, Texas. Mr. Ward also founded an air conditioning and heating maintenance company for commercial buildings and a controls division for new construction in the commercial sector.

Tom Ward, CFO & Director

After graduation from the University of Texas, Mr. Ward served as an officer in the United States Army. Before joining Ward in 1980, he was President of the American Bank of Commerce in Victoria, Texas. Mr. Ward has been critical in refining the accounting systems and processes and keeping the company’s finances in order.


Markay Ward, President

Since 1989, Ms. Ward has provided Ward with critical leadership in several strategic Ward business areas including software development, contracts, customer service and training. She has been instrumental in developing numerous internal initiatives which have directly contributed to Ward’s growth. After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, Markay worked with several companies in human resources, accounting and inside sales.

Robert Kettyle, Vice President, Sales & Operations

Robert (Bob) Kettyle has held a leadership position with Ward since 2007 and developed its innovative go to market strategies combining them with measurable sales programs that resulted in successfully moving the organization to a full service technical solution provider. Over the last 34 years and prior to joining Ward, he has held  leadership positions in global technology companies serving the oil and gas industry. These companies ranged from Controlotron/Siemens, Enron, Daniel Flow Products and the utility company Elizabethtown Gas. He has been a guest instructor at The Appalachian Gas Measurement School at Robert Morris College and presented technical papers on subjects ranging from (AMR) Automated Metering Systems, Hydrocarbon Flow Computers, Measurement System Integration Philosophy, and Project Management. Bob attended Mohawk Valley Community College, CCAF, Middlesex County College, Rutgers and Kean College NJ. He Successfully completed McConnell, Simmons & Co. “TRAC” executive training and evaluation program, the Dale Carnegie  “Leadership for Managers” and Proudfoot consulting “Relationship Selling Skills” course. He has held memberships with PRCI (Pipeline Research Counsel), the American Gas Association (AGA), and Instrument Society of America (ISA).


Mike Wade, Western Regional Sales Manager

Mike Wade has been instrumental in leading Ward’s marketing, branding, and business development activities since joining Ward in 2007 as Director of Marketing.  Mike has extensive Fortune 500 sales, marketing, and business development experience in delivering triple-digit profit & revenue returns.  His global acumen includes the appointment as the first European Marketing Manager for a global Fortune 200 conglomerate.  Mike has been a featured blogger since 2010 for the Automotive Fleet/Government Fleet national fleet blog and has presented on GPS and fuel management technologies at local, state, and national conferences. Mike is involved in numerous community activities including the United Way, March of Dimes, San Antonio Sports, and the Valero Open.  Mike’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Art in Business Economics and a Master of Business Administration.


Chris Bassett, Southeastern Regional Sales Manager

Chris Bassett has worked for Ward since 2011, and has an extensive background in selling Fuel Management, Wireless services and AVL solutions. He has had great success selling into the fleet and transportation industries working for companies such as Sprint/Nextel, Trimble and Telogis.  Chris has a broad range of skills and training including Franklin Covey’s What Matters Most & Seven Habits certifications, Value Selling, Effective Leadership and other courses and prides himself on his consultative, hands on customer sales/support approach. Chris attended Butte College/California State University Chico where he studied Mechatronics Engineering.


Don Melochick, Northeastern Regional Sales Manager

Don Melochick has been with Ward since 2011 and his prior experience includes owning and operating a successful security company for 11 years, with 145 employees.  He has also worked for an engineering company based in Germany, where he handled distributor sales in North America, South America and India.  He has been a member of  “Who’s Who in Small Business” and recipient of the Small Business of the Year in 2003 from the Schuylkill County Chamber of Commerce. Don attended UMBC in Baltimore Maryland and  Anne Arundel Community College.


Kelley Handsor, Director of Supply Chain

Kelley Handsor is responsible for coordinating all inventory, logistics and supply chain activities.  Kelly ensures quality and timeliness with Ward product deliveries as well as the responsibility for general administration activities within Ward. She has over 15 years of experience as a supply chain professional with manufacturing facilities and operations.

Craig Seebruch, Hardware Engineering Manager

Craig  Seebruch joined Ward in 2015 and oversees all hardware development, product regulatory and production.  He brings over 30 years of product development experience in the field of high-tech electronics to the Ward team.  Prior to joining Ward, Craig served as product development engineer/manager on products used in the oil and gas industry, military/aerospace, and medical devices and is retired from the US Army. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Wisconsin.

Richard Gower, Software Engineering Manager

Richard joined Ward in 2016 and oversees the IT department and the Software Development team responsible for Ward’s Fuel Management Software and has been involved with application development since starting with British Rail in 1984. He has worked in the transportation industry with such companies as British Rail, Continental Airlines, EDS/HP, RailAmerica, Genesee and Wyoming, and Wabtec. Prior to joining Ward, Richard earned his PMP and worked at Catapult Systems as a project manager. Born in the UK, Richard earned his Master’s degree from Leicester University in England in Mining Geology and Mineral Exploration.


Justin Walker, ISS & Implementation Project Manager

Justin oversees installation processes which include project implementation, deploying systems, project scheduling, and project management. He is originally from San Antonio, Texas and graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelors in Construction Management.


Julius Siojo, Implementation Specialist

Julius Siojo has an extensive background in computer science and computer engineering.  Having been with Ward for over 19 years, he has been a part of Ward’s software evolution. Julius graduated from the University of Texas in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.


Nick Graham, Software Trainer/Implementation Specialist

Nick Graham has been with Ward since 2013. His technical background in electronic engineering, customer training, and software implementation within an MS SQL server environment, align well with his position in Ward’s ISS team and graduated from ITT Technical Institute in San Antonio, Texas after studying Computer Electronic Engineering. Nick currently leads the W4 upgrade effort overseeing  software implementations and its training; his additional time is spent doing software and hardware testing for Ward’s engineering development. Nick has experience with Monitor Dynamics and Altex Computers and Electronics.


Leslie Patterson – Technical Support Group Manager

Leslie Patterson processes and maintains Ward’s maintenance agreements as well as assist the sales team. Leslie has been with Ward for over 12 years.


Peter Taczli, Northeastern Regional Service Manager

Peter Taczli has been with Ward since 2000; he brings 20 years of Sales, Installation and Service management to the Ward Operations Team. Peter works closely with Ward’s Customer Support division, Project Management, and Ward’s Implementation Support Service (ISS) team. He has an extensive background in the Fleet & Fuel Management Industry and entered the Fleet & Fuel Management Industry with an engineering back ground in manufacturing. Peter attended the University of Bridgeport and has several certifications in engineering and sales.


Tony Scorcia, Western Regional Service Manager

Tony Scorcia is the West Coast Regional Field Service Manager for Ward, and a California native and has helped to improve customer service to Ward customers by bringing over 25 years of experience in the electronics service industry. He was able to hone his skills in service excellence through his affiliation with companies such as Xerox Corp, Canon USA, Delta Airlines, and First Data Corporation. Tony holds a number of industry certifications from companies CompTia; A+, Net+, iNet+, Apple and Cisco and received his Associates from ITT Technical Institute in electronics, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from The University of Phoenix. Tony is continuing his education and is currently working on his Project Management certification from the University of California, Irvine.


Monica Brown – Accounting & Human Services

Monica Brown came to Ward over 14 years ago as Accounting Manager.  Her realm of responsibility includes Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources and various related fields.  Her 30 plus years of experience enables her to offer support to many departments within the company. Monica previously worked as a Controller for an international corporation before moving back to San Antonio.


Cynthia Salas – Customer Service Representative

Cynthia  is responsible for order processing and RMA processing and coordinates with the project managers to handle contract billings and assist with contract administration.
